The first incidence of COVID-19 was identified in Saudi Arabia on March 2, 2020, and then within a month, the total number of reported instances had risen to over 100,000. On December 2020, Saudi Arabia began a COVID-19 immunization program utilizing BNT162b2, ChAdOx1 vaccines. The study's main aim is to see if vaccination helps to lower the rate of positivity in the general population during the second wave, and possibly during the third wave of infection. • Secondary goal is to see if single vaccine dose as effective at preventing infection as two vaccine doses?• A cross-sectional online survey was conducted over 4 months period (June to September 2022) using validated 15 or more items through questionnaire among Hail city population. • Appendix A comprised questions regarding to participant’s demographic information. Appendix B comprised 10-item questionnaire regarding to participant’s vaccination and reinfection and appendix C comprised 3-item concerning to the quality of life of the participants. • A sample size of 219 persons have participated in the questionnairebased online survey.Data processing and analysis then has took place using prism and excel. There were 219 participants, 56% of whom were male, and 44% were female. There was a range of educational levels, ranging from elementary school to postgraduate degrees. Jobs and monthly income data were collected as shown in the figure below. The majority of participants have been vaccinated by the second or third (booster) dose, and only 10 have not taken the vaccines among them, • Vaccinations shows good correlation in reducing the possibility to develop COVID-19 infection, while 52.3% (45 out 81) encounter COVID-19 before taking any vaccines, 16.2% after the first dose and 25.5% after the second dose. People diagnosed with COVID-19 0 10 20 30 40 50 No vaccine 1st dose 2nd dose 3rd dose Number of particpants • Symptoms of COVID-19 infection also found to be mild among those who received 3 doses comparing to those get only second dose (mild to moderate) while those who infected before vaccination showed moderate to severe symptoms. • Results also demonstrates that unvaccinated older people have higher probability of infection with COVID-19 than vaccinated in same age. Only two cases of those who have infected with COVID-19 were admitted to the hospital while the majority were either sshow no symptoms or need medications. • Vaccination program awareness was very high among participants with chronic diseases when 100% of those included in the study recevied vaccines.
