Title : Vaccination in cardiovascular diseases
Abstract:
Infections, especially respiratory tract infections have unfavorable outcomes on cardiovascular system. It is well known that infections causes exacerbation of heart failure and triggering rupture of vulnerable plaques resulting in acute coronary syndromes. Therefore Influenza, pneumococcal vaccine and COVID-19 vaccine are recommended in patients with heart diseases. I aimed to present current literature about effects of infectious diseases on cardiovascular diseases and recommendations about immunization in patients with heart diseases.
