Biography:
Elliot Nyagumbo, MSc (Pharmaceutical Biotechnology, CUT) and PgCert (Biomedical Lab Tech), is Research and Innovation Manager at Midlands State University's National Pathology Research Centre, leading antimicrobial resistance studies and multidisciplinary lab operations. Former Research Fellow (2020-2024) specializing in ethnopharmacology and indigenous drug discovery, his work includes publications on traditional medicine and parasitic diseases. A Vice Chancellor's Prize recipient (2019) and Africa BioGenome Project member, he holds an MPhil fellowship (2020-2025). His expertise spans biomanufacturing (GxP), vaccine R&D, technology transfer, and vaccine equity initiatives as part of Africa CDC's Southern Africa Network.
